Pricing

The cost of your Card Book depends on how many cards you’d like to include. Your first 30 cards are $199.99, and that covers the whole book, both the front and the handwritten inside of every card, professionally photographed, designed and bound into your finished keepsake. After that, each additional card up to 50 is $1.80, and anything beyond 50 is $1.50 per card. Shipping within the US is already included. You pay when you place your order, based on roughly how many cards you expect to send.

Yes – if you’re ordering within the US, shipping is included in the price you see for sending your finished book to you (there is a fee for returning your original cards if you’d like them back, calculated at checkout). Ordering from elsewhere in the world? We’ll calculate shipping based on your destination – just get in touch and we’ll share the shipping costs.

No problem at all – it happens often, and it’s easily sorted. Once your cards arrive, we’ll count them and design your book just as normal. Then, after you’ve reviewed your digital mockup and you’re completely happy with it, we’ll send an invoice for any extra cards at the same per-card rate before we go to print. There’s no penalty or admin fee for sending more than you expected, you simply pay for the cards you include.

Each card counts as a single item, and that includes both sides. We photograph the front as well as any handwritten messages inside, and lay them out together across facing pages so nothing meaningful is lost. So a standard card, however much is written inside it, is just one card in your count.

Some cards are a little more involved e.g. concertina cards, or ones with several printed or written leaves inside. Where a card has multiple pages, it may count as more than one item, depending on how many pages there are and how much we need to capture to do it justice.

A real amount of care goes into every Card Book. Each of your cards is professionally photographed in our studio and edited by hand so the reproduction stays true to the original, fading and all the little details preserved. Our team then designs your book’s layout, sends you a digital proof to review, and works with you until it’s exactly right before it goes to print on premium paper with a durable hardcover. Local shipping, and the safe return of your originals is included too. What you’re paying for is a keepsake made to last a lifetime.

We’re happy to create your Card Book wherever you are in the world. The book itself costs the same wherever it’s going, it’s only the shipping that varies by destination. If you’re based in Ireland or the UK, the easiest way to order is through your own local site, where prices are shown in your currency and shipping is already included. Irish customers should order from mycardbook.ie and UK customers from mycardbook.co.uk. Anywhere else, we’ll simply add a shipping cost based on where your book is traveling to. Get in touch and we’ll share shipping costs before you order.

Book Orders

Ordering is simple. Choose your Card Book and place your order here on the site. That’s all we need to get started. Once you’ve ordered, we’ll email you everything you need to send your cards in and tell us how you’d like your book. We take care of the rest from there.

Absolutely – a Card Book makes a really meaningful gift, especially for a wedding, an anniversary or a milestone birthday. We offer gift cards, available as an eGift card sent by email.

Yes, that’s no problem. You’re welcome to send the cards for both books in a single box to save on shipping – just make sure the cards for each book are clearly separated and labeled inside, so we know exactly which cards belong to which book. A quick email telling us you’ve sent two orders is always helpful too.

There’s no hard deadline, so there’s no need to rush. We do ask that you mail your cards to us within about 30 days of ordering, simply so we can keep your book moving and get your finished keepsake back to you in good time. If life gets in the way and you need a little longer, just let us know.

We do. Weddings are where it all began and remain our most popular book, but we create Card Books for all sorts of occasions: engagements, new babies, christenings, big birthdays, retirements and sympathy cards, to name a few. Of course. If your cards span more than one occasion or you’d simply like to keep a lifetime of cards together in one place – our generic Card Book product is made for exactly that. You can mix and match freely, and we’ll design a book that brings them together beautifully.

You will be sending your cards to our studio in Ireland. We are an Irish-based company. Once you’ve ordered, we’ll email you our full mailing address along with everything else you need.

Right after you order, you’ll receive a warm welcome email, followed by an instructional email with everything you need to get started. That includes our full mailing address for sending your cards, and a link to our online order form, where you can tell us your preferences: your cover choice, the order you’d like your cards to appear in, whether you’d like your originals returned, and any other details that make the book yours.

Send your cards in your own packaging – a sturdy box keeps everything protected in transit. You’re welcome to use whichever shipping carrier you prefer. We recommend USPS for sending your cards to us. For international packages, a tracked and insured service is best, so you can follow your cards on their way. We’ll be in touch as soon as they arrive.

When you address your package, simply add your order number as the very first line of the address – we explain exactly how in your instructional email. That’s how we match your cards to your order as soon as they arrive, so nothing gets mixed up.

As soon as your cards reach us, we’ll send you an email to let you know they’ve arrived safely. From that point, your book is in our hands and the design work begins.

Yes – duplicate copies are a lovely way to share your book with family, and because the design work is already done, they’re just $35 each. Let us know how many you’d like, either when you order or once your book is complete.

Because we do all the work, and we do it with real care. You simply mail us your cards – we professionally photograph every one, capturing the fronts and the handwritten messages inside, design your book by hand, and send you a digital mockup to approve before anything is printed. Your finished keepsake is bound in a premium hardcover built to last a lifetime, your original cards can be returned to you, and local shipping is included. It’s the easiest way to turn a box of cards you can’t bear to throw away into something you’ll treasure for years.

Preparing Your Cards

Yes, and we’d encourage it. Your cards tell part of the story, but menus, place cards, your vows, a letter to the bride or groom – these are often the pieces you treasure most. You’re welcome to include them alongside your cards, and we’ll photograph and design them into your book just the same, so the whole occasion lives together in one keepsake.

Yes. If some of your cards or messages arrived digitally such as an e-card, an email, or a Facebook message – you can send them to us digitally and we’ll design them into your book alongside your physical cards. Just let us know when you order and we’ll tell you where to send them.

Of course. Pop-up cards, padded cards, ones with ribbons, badges or little embellishments – they’re all part of what makes your collection yours. We photograph each one carefully to capture its character on the page.

The cover is yours to shape. You can send us a favorite photo – a wedding photo works wonderfully and we’ll design the cover around it, or you can choose one of your cards to feature and let our designers build a beautiful cover from it.

Whatever keeps them safe, we’re not picky about the packaging itself, as long as your cards arrive protected. A sturdy box or a padded mailer both work well.

Yes, the order is entirely up to you. There are two easy ways to set it: either pack your cards in the order you’d like them to appear, or lightly number the back of each card in pencil. We’ll follow your lead – and when we send your digital mockup, you’ll have the chance to rearrange anything and make changes before your book goes to print.

Yes. A photo or two can be a lovely addition and we’ll design them in among your cards. Photos are counted as items in your book, just like a card, so they’re included in your card count for pricing. Send them in with your cards or email them to us, whichever suits.

No. There’s no real limit on size. Cards and stationery of all shapes and dimensions are welcome, and we’ll capture each one at its best. If you have something especially large or precious that you’d rather not mail, you’re welcome to photograph it yourself and email it to us instead, and we’ll design it in just the same.

About the MyCardBook Service

Your finished Card Book is typically ready 4-6 weeks from the time we receive your cards. That window covers everything: professionally photographing each card, designing your book by hand, sending you a digital mockup to review, and printing the final keepsake once you’ve approved it. If you’re working toward a particular date, just let us know and we’ll do our best to help.

Yes, no problem at all. If a few stragglers arrive after you’ve already mailed the rest, you’re welcome to send them to us – and if it’s just a handful, the easiest thing is to photograph them yourself and email them to us.

If you need your book sooner, we have rush options available – just drop us an email with your timeframe and we’ll let you know what’s possible and what’s involved.

We’re so sorry if that happens. Email us a photo showing the damage and we’ll arrange a reprint for you.

We’re happy to return your original cards if you’d like them back; as they’re shipped internationally, a return shipping charge applies, which is calculated at checkout. If you’d prefer not to keep them, there’s nothing more to do.

If you’d rather not have your cards back, we’ll recycle them responsibly for you once your book is complete and approved.

With real care and some professional equipment. Each and every card is individually photographed in our studio using a professional Sony Alpha camera and a state-of-the-art studio setup, then our designers process each image by hand to bring out its best – keeping the colors, textures and handwriting true to the original. It’s this attention, card by card, that makes the finished book feel like the real thing.

Once you’ve seen your digital mockup, you can request up to five minor changes, things like adjusting the order, swapping a cover image, or tweaking a layout detail. We’re not able to take on a complete redesign at that stage, but those five changes give plenty of room to perfect the details before printing.

You can cancel within 5 days of ordering for a full refund. After that, if your cards have already reached us and we’ve begun working on them, a $20 handling fee applies to cover the safe return of your cards. Once your book has gone to print, it can’t be canceled, as it’s made uniquely for you.

Just reply to any of the emails we’ve sent about your order with your question, and we’ll get back to you with an update. Your order details are all linked to that thread, so it’s the quickest way for us to help.

Reviewing your Book Design

Yes, always. Before anything goes to print, we’ll send you a digital mockup of your entire book to review. You’ll see exactly how your cards have been laid out, and how your cover looks. Nothing is printed until you’ve seen it and you’re happy.

When you open your digital mockup, you’ll find a button to request a change right there in the review area. Just write in your message and it goes straight to our design team, who’ll take care of it for you. Tell us what you’d like adjusted and we’ll handle the rest before your book goes to print.

There’s no strict deadline, so you can take a moment to look through it properly. We do kindly ask that you approve your mockup within about two weeks, just so we can keep your book moving and get it back to you in good time.

Yes. If you’d like to take a card out after seeing your mockup, that’s no problem.

Yes, you can. If you’d like to include a card or two more, send them our way and we’ll design them in. If adding them takes you over the number covered by what you’ve already paid, we’ll send a small invoice for the difference at the usual per-card rate.

If you’d like a different photo, a different card, or a fresh take on the design once you’ve seen your mockup, just let us know and our designers will update it for you before printing.

Yes. The mockup is the perfect moment to fine-tune the running order. If you’d like to move cards around, tell us and we’ll rearrange them for you before your book goes to print.

Once you’re completely happy and you approve your mockup, we’ll take care of the final steps. If there’s anything left to pay, you’ll receive a payment link, and as soon as that’s settled, your book goes to print. We’ll also email you once more before we ship to confirm your delivery address.

About the Books

Your Card Book is 8×8 inches – a square hardcover that sits beautifully on a coffee table or shelf. It’s large enough to show each card off properly, with the front and the handwritten message displayed side by side across facing pages.

Every Card Book is a premium hardcover. We make them this way on purpose – a hardcover protects your cards for the long term and gives the book the weight and feel of a real keepsake, something made to be handled, shared and treasured for a lifetime.

As few or as many as you like. There’s no minimum, so a smaller, more intimate collection works beautifully, and our books hold up to 200 cards. If you have more than that, we’d suggest splitting them across two volumes.

Yes – the cover is yours to choose. You can feature a favorite photo, such as a wedding photo, or pick one of your cards for our designers to build the cover around. Whichever you choose, our design team creates the artwork for you, and you’ll see the finished cover in your digital mockup before your book is printed.

Yes. For every card, we photograph both the front and the handwritten message inside, and lay them out together – the card on one page and its message on the facing page. It means nothing meaningful is lost, and the words people wrote to you are preserved right alongside the cards themselves.

Yes, any time. If your address changes, simply send us an email and we’ll update it, and as an extra safeguard, we always confirm your delivery address with you once more before your book ships, so it’s never sent to the wrong place.
